A HOLDING CROSS, also known as a FINGER CROSS or a HAND CROSS, is a very special cross, shaped to feel comfortable when cradled in the palm of your hand. That's why these crosses are not symmetrical.
We began making hand crosses when Linda saw a friend's holding cross, which she had brought back from Oxford University’s Center for Hebrew Studies in England. Linda asked me to make one for her. When other friends and pastors saw the cross we made, they wanted one, too. We have been making them ever since!
See the link at the bottom of the page for ideas on how to use your holding cross.
Our crosses have been finished with a poly/oil blend. No special care is needed.
